The institution Yashwantrao Chavan Warana Mahavidyalaya, and Warana Education Society are established in 1964 by the great visionary knowable Sahakarmaharshi late Shri Tatyasaheb Kore. He realized the need of providing the facility of higher education to the rural youths. His dream was to achieve the unique place in the field of education. He wished to create a âNew Manâ (Nava Manus), by bringing about education. He established Warana Education Society and Y C Warana Mahavidyalaya with Mission ânava maanavaa saaka$â (to create a New Man).

We offer education in various disciplines like Arts, Commerce and Science at Junior as well as senior level, along with HSVC. We also provide post Graduate courses in the subject of Marathi, Economics and History. We run Nine Career Oriented Courses which are approved by UGC. We have reputation of good results. Even some of the students have bagged University Merit Scholarship and University ranks for their outstanding performance.
The college has celebrated itâs Golden Jubilee and has been Accredited and Re-accredited by NAAC Banglore. (To all our stake holders and well wishers. As per the theme of UGC for community College, this college will be Ideal College to receive the Grants for the same.) To this date, we have enrolled more than 95000 students for higher education. I would like to mention here that we have got âRegistered Alumniâ. The University authorities have sanctioned us âCentre for Distance Educationâ and at present more than 1000 students are taking benefit of it. In sports, we have kept our reputation. We have received innumerable Trophies and Awards in various events. We have the championship in âMallakhambâ. Our Mallakhamb team is the winner of University level R. P. Powar Trophy for 34 years in a row. We also have Womenâs Hockey Championship continuously for 15 years.
